Nascimento Named “Chamber Executive Of The Year”

Chamber Photo[/caption]The President of the New Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce has been named Chamber Executive of the Year by a regional association of chamber leaders.  Roy Nascimento was honored last month at the annual meeting of the New England Association of Chamber Executives.  Nascimento has been with the New Bedford Chamber since 2006.  The Association says Nascimento has revitalized the Chambers' advocacy and events,  and has become one of the most effective Chamber leaders in Southeastern Mass.  He also helped lead the efofrt to form a health insurance co-operative to assist small businesses find lower rates for health insurance.
