Rick Kidder Returns To Mass. To Head New Bedford Chamber

The new President of the New Bedford Area Chamber of Commerce is coming from Arizona.

The Chamber announced Tuesday it was hiring Frederick "Rick" Kidder as the new President and Chief Executive Officer.  He will start his new job no later than August 3rd.

Kidder is currently the C-E-O of the Scottsdale Arizona Area Chamber of Commerce.  In a statement, Kidder said he was looking forward to the new challenge.

Kidder is a Mass. native having grown up in the fishing community of Gloucester.  He replaces Roy Nascimento who left the Chamber in January.
