For the second time in two days, New Bedford Narcotics Detectives conduct operations on Salisbury Street in the South End after spotting activity consistent with the street-level sale of illegal drugs.

Police say Detectives spotted three people in the vicinity of 31-32 Salisbury Street Wednesday engaging in suspicious activity.  Detectives moved in and arrested 61-year old Antonio Pereira of New Bedford, 36-year old Lisandra Laureano of Dartmouth, and 24-year old Juan Rivera-Montilla of Fall River.

Pereira was charged with possession of fentanyl and conspiracy to violate drug laws.  Riveira-Montilla was charged with possession of fentanyl with intent to distribute along with conspiracy to violate drug laws, and Laureano was held on four outstanding warrants.

On Tuesday, Detectives arrested two other suspects on Salisbury Street also in possession of fentanyl.
