GateHouse Media is asking a judge to unseal documents relating to a juror in former New England Patriots star Aaron Hernandez's recent murder trial.

The company, which publishes The Herald News of Fall River, the Taunton Daily Gazette and The Patriot Ledger of Quincy, says information about the unidentified juror in Hernandez's recent murder trial must be made public.

Hernandez lawyer James Sultan last week filed papers under seal requesting an inquiry into the juror's ``exposure to significant extraneous matter.'' A hearing is set for next week.

GateHouse said Friday the public has a right to review post-verdict proceedings, including information about a juror possibly exposed to information outside of the courtroom.

Hernandez was sentenced to life imprisonment for first-degree murder in the 2013 shooting death of acquaintance Odin Lloyd. (Associated Press)
