A Marshfield woman accused of stabbing her husband to death has been charged with murder.

Christine Ricci, 46, was arrested and charged in the Thursday afternoon stabbing death of her husband, 51-year-old Michael Ricci, according to Plymouth District Attorney Timothy J. Cruz’s office.

Marshfield police received a 911 call around 4:46 p.m. on Jan. 28 concerning a medical emergency at a home at 679 Moraine Street, the DA's office said in a statement. Officers and emergency medical personnel responded to the scene and found Michael Ricci, 51, with multiple stab wounds.

Ricci was taken to South Shore Hospital in Weymouth where he was pronounced dead.

Officers in Marshfield contacted Massachusetts State Police detectives, and an investigation was launched, Cruz's office said. Detectives later charged Christine Ricci with one count of murder. She was expected to be arraigned in Plymouth District Court today.
