UPDATE: Marion Police have reported that the woman was found deceased, and that no foul play is suspected.

MARION (WBSM) — Marion Police are asking for the public’s assistance in finding a missing elderly woman.

Police posted to Facebook Thursday morning that an 80-year-old woman left her home on upper Main Street in Marion sometime between the hours of 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday, December 27 and 7:30 a.m. today.

According to police, it is unknown what clothing she may have been wearing, but it possibly could have been a nightgown or pajamas.

Police also posted a photo of the woman, who appears to be white with short gray hair.

Anyone with a security camera in the general vicinity is asked to check the footage between those hours and report any sightings to Marion Police at (508) 748-1212.

Police are also asking residents to check all sheds, buildings, yards and vehicles for the woman.
