In a city deep-seated with its diverse population, New Bedford loves soccer and the World Cup frenzy! Local stores sell out of jerseys, various ethnic flags and anything "Cristiano Ronaldo!" On Tuesday, June 17 at 10:30 am, Jason Moore, the No. 1 overall draft pick in MLS in 1999, joins Phil Paleologos on the Midday Magazine.

Moore will talk about the World Cup and an upcoming screening of an outstanding motion picture titled, Next Goal Wins. Jason Moore played for Coach Thomas Rongen, the star of Next Goal Wins, capturing a league championship together with D.C. United in Moore's rookie season.

Moore, who is partnered with local Sidekick Soccer Academy, will be at the movie's screening on June 25 at AMC Theatre 12 at the North Dartmouth Mall at 6:30 p.m. to speak and sign autographs. The film has received rave revues. Tickets are only $10 and can be purchased on Facebook at Next Goal Wins Movie Screening or at sidekicksocceracademy.com/next-goal-wins/.
