Summer is right around the corner, and some of New England's favorite theme parks are gearing up to open for the 2026 season.

That includes Story Land, New Hampshire's self-proclaimed "Best Amusement Park for Kids," which kicks off its 72nd season on Saturday, May 23, with new rides, shows, and special events.

But this summer isn't just about what's new—it's also about what's back.

Classic Story Land Rides Make a Comeback

If you've been visiting Story Land for years, you may have noticed two familiar favorites were missing last season. The Turtle Twirl and Crazy Barn were relocated to make room for the park's Moo Lagoon water play area, leaving longtime fans disappointed.

Now, both classic rides are making their return in brand new locations, bringing a dose of nostalgia back to the park.

Of course there's still plenty of new to explore in 2026.

What’s New for the 2026 Season

The Hilltop Theater is getting an interactive makeover with Topsy Turvy Party: A Mad Royal Bash, a lively add-on experience that brings Cinderella and the Mad Hatter together for a chaotic, music-filled birthday celebration. The show runs three times daily throughout the summer.

Families can also take part in a park-wide scavenger hunt, searching for hidden fairy doors. Pick up a card at Miss Muffet's Market and see how many you can find before the day is done.

More Rides, Less Waiting

And if your main goal is maximizing ride time, Story Land is introducing a Time Saver Pass, designed to help guests spend less time waiting in line and more time enjoying the park.

Whether you're there for the nostalgic favorites, new experiences, or just a full day of family fun, Story Land's 2026 season is shaping up to offer a little bit of everything—making it the perfect summer trip for New England families.
