I-495 Crash Kills Middleboro Man

State police say a 46-year-old man has died after crashing his vehicle off Interstate 495 in southeastern Massachusetts.

Troopers say the man from Middleboro crashed Friday afternoon in Franklin and later died at Milford Hospital. His name hasn't been released yet.

State police say the man was driving at a high rate of speed in the northbound lanes when his small sport utility vehicle struck the rear of another SUV while changing lanes. The victim's vehicle then went off the road, crashed into a rocky abutment and rolled over.

The driver of the other SUV wasn't injured.

State police say speed was a factor in the accident. The crash remains under investigation.
