A suspect has been arrested in connection with the murder of a popular Cape Cod radio personality.

On Friday, Cape & Islands District Attorney Michael O’Keefe announced the arrest of Justin Peckham, 29, of Boston in connection with the December 8 murder of Eric Christensen in Hyannis.

Barnstable Police responded to a 911 call for a medical emergency at 91 Oakview Terrace in Hyannis just before 6 p.m. on December 8.

When police arrived, they found the 50-year-old Christensen unresponsive on the kitchen floor with an apparent gunshot wound to the head. Christensen, who worked in the promotions department for Cape Cod radio station WCOD, was transported to Cape Cod Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

Peckham was arraigned Friday morning in Barnstable District Court on one count of murder and one count of assault and battery by means of the discharge of a firearm. He is being held without bail, and a probable cause hearing is scheduled for January 28, 2022.
