Cape Cod Authorities Investigating After Hyannis Man Found Shot in the Head

HYANNIS — A Cape Cod man is dead after he was found shot in the head inside his home.

According to Cape & Islands District Attorney Michael O’Keefe and Barnstable Police Chief Matthew Sonnabend, Barnstable Police responded to a 911 call for a medical emergency at 91 Oakview Terrace in Hyannis just before 6 p.m. on December 8.

When police arrived, they found 50-year-old Eric Christensen unresponsive on the kitchen floor with an apparent gunshot wound to the head. Christensen, who worked in the promotions department for Cape Cod radio station WCOD, was transported to Cape Cod Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
