Heartwarming Radio/Telethon

Even miracles take time, but in this case over one million dollars was raised Friday and Saturday for Meeting Street and their Massachusetts campus, The Schwartz Center! WPRI 12 and Fox Providence joined with sponsors Cardi's Furniture and Mattresses and a number of radio stations, including FUN107 and WBSM AM 1420, to raise money for the 41st Annual Meeting Street Telethon. The goal was to raise one million dollars. At the end of it all Saturday evening, the donations totaled $1,130,328! Thanks to the generous support of the listeners and viewers, both Meeting Street and The Schwartz Center can continue to educate children with and without disabilities.

These kids are proof that the comeback is always stronger than any setback. They are such an inspiration and I believe they grow and blossom to their potential because, figuratively, the fire inside them burns brighter than any fire around them. Blessings to their teachers and parents!
