Actor Harrison Ford was recently injured on the set of Star Wars: Episode VII when he was hit by the door of the Millennium Falcon, his famous space ship in the sci-fi series.

Initial reports downplayed the ankle injury but according to PerezHilton.com, the injury could be a lot more serious. A source said, "We were told he had some pelvic injuries and may have had a chest x-ray. There's talk his ankle is actually broken. And he may still be in the hospital. It's not known when he'll be ready to start filming again."

The actor's son, Ben Ford, was quoted as saying that he will have to be shot from the waist up for the time being.

Some of the films other stars including Lupita Nyong'oCarrie Fisher and Mark Hamill were so upset that they've allegedly asked that everything on the set be triple checked. The source explained, "The cast is livid. They are openly questioning the safety of sets. They've asked for everything to be triple-checked."

Ford's wife, Calista Flockhart, has flown to England to be by his side.
