Frito-Lay is recalling certain varieties of chips because of a possibility of salmonella contamination in the seasoning.

According to Fox 25, Frito-Lay is recalling a handful of varieties manufactured by the company, which include Jalapeno Lay’s Kettle Cooked chips and Jalapeno Miss Vickie’s Kettle Cooked chips.

The individual chip packets also may have been included in some variety packs as well.

The company stated that no reported cases of illnesses has come from these products.

The products covered by this recall were distributed in retail stores and via foodservice.

The recalled products have a "guaranteed fresh" date of JUL 4 or prior printed on the front upper panel of the package.

"All of the following multi-pack offerings that have a "use by" date of JUN 20 or prior printed on the multi-pack package."

"In addition, a "guaranteed fresh" date of JUL 4 or prior is printed on the front upper panel of the individual recalled product packages inside each multi-pack offering. Any other products or flavors contained in these multi-packs are not being recalled."
