Brenda Cropper Confirmed as 10th Fatality in Fall River Fire
FALL RIVER (WBSM) — The 10th victim in the devastating fire at the Gabriel House Assisted Living Facility in Fall River last Sunday has now passed away.
The Bristol County District Attorney's Office said Brenda Cropper, 66, was pronounced deceased at the hospital on Friday, July 18 at 4:43 p.m.
Brenda Cropper Passes Away After Initial Miscommunication
The D.A.’s Office had initially reported Thursday that Cropper passed late Wednesday from her injuries. Cropper suffered burns over most of her body in Sunday night’s fire and had only been given a 10 percent chance of survival, according to WPRI.

On Friday morning, the D.A.’s Office issued a correction and said that Cropper was still alive but remained in critical condition. The office said it had been in touch with her family about what was described as a “miscommunication with a medical agency.”
