Two Fall River men are sentenced to life in prison for their involvement in a robbery turned murder.

The Bristol County DA's office says 31-year-old Tacuma Massie and 30-year-old Charles Mendez were convicted today of the first degree murder of Edward Platts in November of 2010.

The defendants were convicted of shooting and killing Platts after a botched robbery attempt outside the Father Diaferio neighborhood in Fall River.

The pair was also found guilty of armed robbery, assault, and illegal firearms charges.

Superior Court Judge Lloyd MaCdonald sentenced Massie and Mendez to life in prison without the possibility of parole.
