Fairhaven Wind developer Sumul Shah says he's still open to some sort of compromise after a DEP sound study found the two turbines to be out of compliance with state noise regulations.

The study showed that during five out of 24 testing periods, the turbines produced more noise than legally allowed. Shah says he's looking at the DEP's data, and looking for a viable solution.

He tells WBSM News the first step is to establish what conditions are causing the turbines to make more noise.

Shah says he's currently working with the state DEP and the Town of Fairhaven to bring the turbines in compliance with state regulations.
