Red Sox right hander Rubby De La Rosa made his first start in a Boston uniform a great one.  De La Rosa fired seven shutout innings Saturday night and struck out eight, as the Red Sox tamed the Tampa Bay Rays, 7-1 at Fenway Park.  It was Boston's sixth win in a row.

De La Rosa and the Sox was aided by a pair of two run homers, one by 3rd baseman Brock Holt and the second by centerfielder Jackie Bradley Jr.

De La Rosa was acquired from the Los Angeles Dodgers in 2012, along with a handful of other minor leaguers as part of a giant, multi-player trade that sent former All Stars Carl Crawford, Adrian Gonzalez, and Josh Beckett to the West Coast.  De La Rosa was 2-3 with a 3.04 ERA in Pawtucket this season, before being called to the majors this week.

The Red Sox wrap up their series with Tampa Bay on Sunday with Jon Lester pitching for Boston.  WBSM's coverage starts at 12:50pm with the pre-game show.
