A slots parlor for Plainville will open on June 24.

Penn National Gaming made the announcement Monday morning on the Facebook page for the Plainridge Park Casino.

The facility will feature over 1,200 slot machines, video poker and video blackjack.

Company officials say there will also be live entertainment with local and regional acts and dining establishments including Flutie's Sports, which is owned by former New England Patriot Doug Flutie.

Live harness-racing will continue at the facility which is undergoing $125 million in renovations.

The Plainridge Park Casino will not have any table games.
