A man accused of killing his 19-year-old daughter is being held without bail following his arraignment in New Bedford District court.

Forty-five-year-old Walter DaSilva is accused of shooting his daughter, Sabrina DaSilva multiple times on the evening of July 3rd outside her apartment on Bedford Street. He was reportedly upset that his daughter was dating a 50 year old man.

.He was officially charged with daughter's murder on August 8, and was transported from Connecticut where he was arrested as a fugitive from justice on an outstanding probation warrant out of Middlesex County connected to an assault in Weston in 2002.

DaSilva on Wednesday pleaded not guilty to charges of murder, carrying an illegal firearm and unlawful possession of a loaded firearm. His case was continued to October 5th.
