This year's event will include a 64 ft. inflatable obstacle course, potato sack races, free food and sport contests.

In addition Program Director Brian Rose told WBSM's Phil Paleologos that all who attend will leave with a free sports bag.

However, Rose said that won't be the only opportunity attendees have to leave with a gift in hand.

"We also give away other items throughout the day, every 15-20 minutes we have free basket raffles that we give away," said Rose "so as long as you participate in the event, or even show up to the event, you're automatically entered in those free giveaways."

While the event is known for fun and family friendly activities, Program Manager April Cabrera said the "Step Towards Recovery" walk will also be taking place on the campus that day.

"It's a walk that's going to try and encourage those who are struggling with addiction to hopefully get some help that they might need and certainly support the families and the loved ones that are impacted by this terrible disease," said Cabrera.

Along with the walk Cabrera says there will also be information tables along with inspirational speakers.

Rose said that when they planned this year's event they took steps to ensure it wouldn't conflict with a Patriots game.

"That actually happened last year," said Rose "and I thought it would hurt our numbers, and it might have, but when you get around 500 people when the Patriots are playing, imagine what's going to happen when they're not, because I don't think anyone's watching the Cowboys."

The event takes place from noon to three at Cressy Field.

Those interested in attending are asked to register ahead of time on the District Attorney's website or you can call 508-961-1972 for more information.
