The employee contacted the manager on his cell phone and handed the phone to Sheikh. During the call, Sheikh grew angrier and angrier and once the call had ended, he threw the phone at the employee, causing it to break. He then threw the cash register to the ground, and then left the store to wait in his vehicle.
When the manager arrived, Sheikh followed him back into the store and began threatening to kill the manager and the employee. He took out a knife and lunged in their direction. He then stormed out of the shop, stealing the cash register as he left.

Fall River Restaurant Theft
Sheikh then drove to the Kun Kabob and Curry restaurant in Fall River, which is owned by the same family as the King Smoke Shop. There, he entered the restaurant, grabbed the cash register, and fled.
Police Arrest and Recovery of Cash Registers
Sheikh was located by police in Rhode Island a short time later after a BOLO alert was issued for his vehicle. Both cash registers were found inside his car. Sheikh told police he was angry because he was owed money and felt he was unfairly terminated. Officers noted that he appeared to be under the influence at the time.
Sheikh’s Criminal History
Sheikh was previously arrested in Woonsocket in March 2013 for allegedly tossing bags of marijuana out of his vehicle while fleeing from police at a high rate of speed after telling them “I’m outta here” at a traffic stop.
