Representatives of several civil rights organizations will hold a news conference in New Bedford on Monday to discuss the Police shooting last May of 15 year old Malcom Gracia.  Police say the shooting came after Gracia had stabbled a Police detective multiple times, near Kempton and Cedar streets. Juan Cofield of the NAACP New England Area Conference says his organization and others reviewed the District Attorney's report of the shooting, and found it lacking.....

Police say Garcia was stopped by members of the Police Department's Gang Unit because they witnessed him exchange a possible gang-related handshake on surveillance video..  D-A Sam Sutter ruled the shooting was "justified."  Cofield declined to say what action the groups will take, but the Standard Times is reporting the civil rights organizations plan to ask Attorney General Martha Coakley to conduct a formal criminal inquiry.
