Carver’s King Richard’s Faire Confirms Move to Edaville Property
CARVER (WBSM) — King Richard’s Faire, the world-renowned Renaissance Faire in Carver, Massachusetts, has confirmed it will be moving from its longtime home to the site of Edaville Family Theme Park just down the road.
As first reported by WBSM on Thursday, the new owners of King Richard’s Faire, Lancelot Entertainment Boston LLC, has purchased the Edaville property and will relocate to the site for the upcoming 2025 Faire season.
Meanwhile, Edaville is downsizing and will auction off a number of its amusement rides in May.
Today, King Richard’s Faire confirmed the move to Edaville to WBSM and other media outlets.
“King Richard's Faire will celebrate its 44th season in 2025 with an exciting show expansion just minutes down the road from its former home in Carver, MA,” according to the Faire.
The season will open on August 30, 2025 and run for eight consecutive weekends through October 19, including the two Monday holidays.

The statement made it sound as if the plan is for business as usual with the 2025 Faire, even as vendors were at the former site on Friday, packing up their booths with reportedly no guarantee that they will have a booth and that “some could be living the tent life” this year, according to a post in a private Facebook group for Faire vendors.
“Guests planning to attend should continue to expect world class entertainment, shop incredible handmade wares throughout the Faire's artisan marketplace, and partake in food and beverage fit for a King all within the Faire’s beautiful new realm,” the Faire said.
Even though Lancelot reportedly purchased the Faire from its original founders, the Shapiro family, the Faire told WBSM that Aimée Shapiro Sedley will continue as producer and general manager.
“(She) looks forward to carrying on her family’s legacy creating memories, magic and so much more,” the Faire said.
When asked about future plans for Edaville, a Faire spokesperson said more information on that would be forthcoming. WBSM will bring you that information when it becomes available.
The Patriot Ledger reported today that Lancelot Entertainment Edaville Real Estate Holdings purchased Edaville’s nearly 250 acres on Feb. 19 for $8.7 million.
