Brockton Man and Taunton Woman Indicted in Murder Case
BROCKTON — Two people have been indicted in connection to a murder in Brockton.
The Taunton Gazette reports a grand jury handed down the indictments on Tuesday against Renardo Williams, 24, of Brockton and Chanel Martins, 29, of Taunton. Williams will face charges of murder and assault with intent to murder, while Martins was indicted on two counts of accessory after the fact.
Prosecutors say Williams fatally shot Bethgy Cator, 26, of Avon outside of a convenience store after he believed Cator was hitting on Martins, Cator's ex-girlfriend. A second victim, a 24-year-old man, was shot five times but survived.
Williams and Martins will be arraigned at a later date in Brockton Superior Court.
