ATTLEBORO — Police in Attleboro are asking for help from the public in the search for a missing teenage boy who police said ran away from a group home last week.

According to police, 17-year-old Jacob Cordeiro escaped from Journey Home on Lindsey Street on March 17.

Group home staff told police they saw the teen leaving the parking lot with someone who was driving a silver or grey vehicle.

Police said they believe Cordeiro is staying with friends in Fall River.

He is described as being five feet, six inches tall and weighing 160 pounds.

Anyone with any information about Cordeiro's whereabouts is asked to contact Attleboro police at 508-222-1212.
