ATTLEBORO (WBSM) — A 69-year-old man was killed in a rollover crash Sunday night in Attleboro.
According to Attleboro Fire Chief Scott T. Lachance, the department responded to a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 95 on June 15 at about 7:25 p.m.
First responders arrived to find the vehicle had rolled over onto its side in the woods next to the highway, and an unconscious man trapped inside the vehicle. They used extrication tools to remove him from the vehicle.
Lachance said the unconscious man, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, was transported by ambulance to Sturdy Memorial Hospital, while paramedics performed CPR. However, he was later pronounced deceased at the hospital.
His name has not yet been released.
The crash remains under investigation by Massachusetts State Police.
