Art On Center is teaming up with The Humane Society & Shelter South Coast to present an art exhibition and fundraiser to benefit the Humane Society.

According to South Coast Today.com, “there are two ways to participate, and artists may choose either or both. Artists are invited to pick up a complimentary 8-by-8-inch canvas at Art On Center to create a work of art that will be displayed as part of a "mosaic wall of art," says Art On Center's director Stacey Frates. There is no entry fee for this option, and the proceeds from all sales of these jewels will be donated to the Humane Society.”

Another way for artists to participate is to enter a work of art (of any size) for an entry fee of $15 and subject to Art On Center's 30 percent commission on sales.  The artists will have the opportunity to donate a portion of their sales to the Humane Society.  The deadline for entries, which must be delivered to Art On Center, 15 Center Street in Fairhaven, is 6pm on Wednesday, June 1.

The opening reception is Saturday, June 4, from 1 to 4pm, and the public is invited.  There is plenty of free parking and the building is wheelchair-accessible.

Both Art On Center and the Humane Society & Shelter South Coast are 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations. More information is available by calling (774) 206-1709 or emailing info@artoncenter.org.
