After Receiving Complaints, New Bedford Police Arrest Prostitute

NEW BEDFORD - Following complaints of prostitution in a South End neighborhood, New Bedford Police have arrested one woman after she was seen offering sexual activity for money.

The arrest took place at 11:30 p.m. Tuesday in the area of Brock Avenue and Clara Street. Police say they observed Darlene Sylvia, 58, offer sexual favors for money while in a vehicle.

Sylvia was arrested and charged with sexual conduct for a fee.
