The Fourth Annual Mountain Man Competition will be held at the Wankinquoah Rod and Gun Club, at 92 Pine Street in Middleboro, on Saturday, May 20.

According to South Coast Today.com, the event is open to all participants over the age of 12.

There will be three classes, which will include men, women, and juniors.

Last year’s various events included a timed canoe race, archery, and knife and tomahawk throwing.

Registration will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. During the registration, the club will provide free coffee, tea and pastries.

The events will begin at 9:30 a.m. (rain or shine) or when all competitors are registered.

At noon, competitors will be able to take a lunch break, which will include hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs with chips, and a cookie.

All proceeds will go into the Wankinquoah general fund which supports scholarships for deserving students interested in environmental studies.
