The search for a missing adolescent in waters off Fort Taber has been suspended, pending further developments.

The search began Saturday afternoon when an adult reported seeing a boy, about 12 or 13 years old, jump into the water from a fishing pier and never resurface.

The Fire and Police departments were called.  They were later assisted by the Coast Guard, State Police and some private vessels, searching the waters for any sign of the boy.

As of Saturday night, no one has reported a missing child.  A Fire Department spokesman says the search was suspended late last night.
