On September 10, the Lakeville Lions Club Fall Family Festival will host a festival, featuring a handful of acts, which include headliner Matt Borrello.

According to South Coast Today.com, Matt Borrello is a traveling singer and guitar player with a repertoire of traditional folk, classic rock, and contemporary songs that are original. Borrello was born and raised in Dighton, and started playing the guitar at the age of 14. Within a year, he was writing music and performing. Now, in his mid-twenties, Borrello plays regularly in the Boston, Southeastern Mass, and Rhode Island area, usually as a solo acoustic act.

His debut album, “Don’t Turn Around,” was released in 2010. Since then, he has released a few live and studio EPs, gaining some airplay in the Northeast. His second album of original music was recorded at Fox Run Studio in Sudbury, MA and was released and promoted by Trespass Music in November 2015.

Borrello will take the stage around 6 p.m. Prior to Borello’s performance, the day will feature two or three other local acts, and music to keep the crowd entertained by Roland Grenier, who is a professional DJ.

The festival starts on Saturday, September 10 at 2 p.m.  The location of the event will be at the Lions’ new headquarters at 170 Main Street in Lakeville.

Admission into the event is free. There will be food available at the festival including hotdogs, burgers, and chips.

There will plenty of activities for event goers to enjoy, including tethered balloon rides, bouncy houses, a dunk tank, face painting, body art, balloon animals, traditional field games, beanbag toss, volleyball, as well as equipment on site for pick-up games of your choice: softball and whiffleball.
