Police say a 5-year-old child is OK after falling from a moving vehicle as it sped away from the scene of a theft.

Falmouth police say a woman stole a flat-screen TV from a Walmart on Sunday and stuffed it in the back seat of an SUV. As the vehicle drove away, the child fell from a door that had been left ajar because of the size of the television.

The driver stopped, put the child back in the vehicle, and then sped off.

Based on an investigation, police arrested 29-year-old Lisa Degerolamo and 29-year-old Daniel McLaughlin, both of Yarmouth. Both are charged with reckless endangerment of a child and larceny.

They are scheduled to be arraigned Monday. It's unclear if they have lawyers.
