FALMOUTH (WBSM) — Three Falmouth firefighters were injured while on the scene of a house fire on Sunday afternoon.

According to Falmouth Fire and Rescue, a three-fire alarm dispatched crews to Rivers Edge Road just after 1 p.m.The home was unoccupied, but officials say three firefighters were injured, one of whom fell through the first floor into the basement.

Crews performed a rescue on the firefighter before being airlifted to Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. They reportedly suffered injuries that were serious but not life-threatening.

The two others were treated at Falmouth Hospital and are expected to recover.

Wareham Brush Fire 4-20-2023

On April 20, 2023, the Wareham Fire Department responded to a brush fire in the area of Agawam Road and was able to hold the fire to just over two acres before fully extinguishing it.
