For the 19th straight year, the New York Yankees are Major League Baseball's most valuable franchise. That's according to Forbes, which has released its annual rankings.

The Yankees are valued at 3.4-billion-dollars, a six-percent increase from a year ago. The Los Angeles Dodgers are second at 2.5-billion, followed by the Boston Red Sox, San Francisco Giants and Chicago Cubs.

The Miami Marlins rank last among MLB's 30 clubs at 675-million.

The Houston Astros jumped 38-percent to 1.1-billion after a new broadcast contract.

The average MLB franchise is now worth 1.3-billion, a seven-percent increase.  (Metro Networks Inc.)
