Violence against children IS preventable. It begins with you! One out of four girls will be the victim of sexual abuse before age 18, and one out of six boys the same. Michelle Loranger, Executive Director of the Children's Advocacy Center of Bristol County, spoke about what the agency is doing and how a special event coming up will benefit abused children and child abuse preventable programs.

Bring the family by White's of Westport this Thursday, March 31 from 6pm for a FREE, wild and fun filled 2016 Hot Chicken Wing Eating Contest featuring your favorite Bristol County Police and Fire Departments! FUN107's Michael Rock will broadcast live from the excitement, plus music by Better Daze with Polish Bob! You'll look on and cheer for your own police and fire eaters, no pun intended! They'll be raising awareness of child abuse while scoffing down as many hot chicken wings as possible. There will be trophies, large-screen TV March Madness, Chinese Raffle and pub style food!
