In his weekly appearance on WBSM's Chris McCarthy Show, U.S. Congressman William Keating discussed issues both foreign and domestic.

First, Keating discussed how the legislature is hard at work on amending and approving the annual Army Corps. of Engineers bill, including an amendment he calls a "win-win" for people living along Buzzard's Bay. The amendment would allow organizations and communities working on improving Buzzard's Bay to work directly with the Army Corps. on the projects, without having to go through the bureaucratic red tape of government middle men.

He also discussed the work he's been doing on behalf of the cranberry industry, which is facing stiff tariffs from the European Union on U.S. cranberry exports.

"Let's call it what it is. It's retaliation for what we did in the first place," Keating said, referencing President Trump's tariffs on steel and aluminum.

Keating also discussed his thoughts on the possibility of Colombia joining NATO, and the current state of the country's policy toward Cuba.
