WAREHAM—Wareham Police say they arrested a woman after officers responded to a report of a possible intoxicated operator in the area.

After responding to Cumberland Farms on Main Street, police say they encountered Briana Tobin, 29, of Wareham sitting in a car. After speaking with the woman for a few minutes, officers say Tobin yelled profanities at them and began to flail her arms wildly. During the arrest, Tobin allegedly spat at two of the officers and resisted arrest. Tobin was transported to the Wareham Police Station for booking where her outburst allegedly continued.

During the booking process, officers say Tobin continued to be disruptive and uncooperative and after being placed in a holding cell, kicked the cell door so hard that she damaged it to the extent of requiring emergency repairs.

Tobin was charged with operating under the influence of alcohol, disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, resisting arrest, two counts of assault and battery on a police officer, and vandalizing property.
