Wareham Man Charged In Upskirt Case At Clothing Store
Wareham Police have arrested an Onset man who they say was using his phone to take photographs up the skirts of women at a local clothing store.
Chief Kevin Walsh says the incident took place Wednesday at the Wareham Crossing Shopping Complex. The suspect fled when his activities were noticed by a startled female.
Twenty-nine year old Gregory Allen Mattos was arrested the next day on a charge of unlawful sexual surveillance.
Police say Mattos is a level 2 sex offender who was previously out on bail on a charge of failure to register as a sex offender.
Appearing in Wareham District Court on Friday, his bail was revoked on the previous case, and he was ordered held on $7,500 bail regarding the so-called "upskirt" case at Wareham Crossing. His next court date is May 9th.
