Former Ward 4 City Councillor Joseph "Jo-Jo" Fortes is making another bid for the council seat. Fortes represented Ward 4 for a collective ten years in the council.

Speaking on "The Taylor Cormier Show" Monday, Fortes says he's running on his record of constituent services. "I'm a person who's not afraid to go and talk to the mayor. I'm not afraid to go to the department heads. And whatever it needs to grease that nut, I'm gonna do that. Believe me," said Fortes.

On the issue of the decline of the fishing industry in the City, while Fortes says regulation changes are out of the City Council's hands, he'll strongly support fishermen and their trade.

Fortes goes up against police officer Joshua Fernandes, former Ward 4 councillors Bruce Duarte Jr. and Ramona Silva, and incumbent Dana Rebeiro ahead of the October 6 preliminary election.
