Sneak Peek Inside the New Jonathan Sprouts Store Opening in Downtown New Bedford

Locally-made products, nutrient-dense foods and now a brand-new store in New Bedford. On Saturday, September 12, you can check out the new home of Jonathan Sprouts at the corner of Union Street and Johnny Cake Hill with its Grand Opening celebration.

Grand Opening Celebration: Deals, Vendors, and Community Fun

From 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. visitors can enjoy 15 percent off the entire store, fresh sprout salads and tasty bites, shopping, connecting with the community and celebrating Jonathan Sprouts on Union. Local vendors will also be in attendance including:

"Everybody is curious about sprouts and they know they're really healthy, but they don't know what they actually do," president and owner Liz Reilley said. "We look for every opportunity to educate the customer and consumer, so we wanted to create a space that's a comfortable hangout that is inviting."

Sneak Peek: Fresh Sprout Salads and Natural Skincare Lines

I had the opportunity to get a sneak peek of the space. The moment you walk through the door, you're greeted by the sights and incredible smells of their skincare. From their facewash to the lip balm, they have something for everyone. My personal favorite? The eye cream.

However, the skincare products are just the tip of the iceberg. I snagged one of their sprout salads, topped it with a blend of nuts and seeds and a delicious garlic paprika dressing, and enjoyed it on one of their outdoor tables.
