Councilor Dana Rebeiro is leaving the City Council and creating a vacancy for the Ward Four council seat. Former Councilor Fortes has entered the crowded race.

This Monday night will mark the official recount of the Ward 4 ballots from the November 7th election. Election Commissioner Manny DeBrito called into WBSM to offer some insight into the recount process.

After losing the Ward 4 election by just 48 votes to incumbent Dana Rebeiro, defeated candidate Joseph "Jo Jo" Fortes is calling for a recount.
