Vote Donald J. Trump, Kevin O’Connor and Helen Brady [OPINION]

President Donald J. Trump is the hardest-working president I have ever seen and has earned our support for a second term on Tuesday. In order to be successful in his second term, Trump will need to keep control of the U.S. Senate. A vote for Kevin O'Connor might allow Trump to expand his numbers in the Senate.

Republican Helen Brady has struggled to make her case for the 9th Congressional District seat but after 10 years in Congress, it is time to send U.S. Rep. Bill Keating (D) packing and give someone else a chance. The leadership of Democrat Nancy Pelosi, who is supported by Keating, is taking America in the wrong direction. It's time for a change.

Besides, if President Trump is going to serve four more years, he deserves to have majorities in both branches of congress. Voters certainly deserve to have a congressional delegation that is willing to work with and not against Trump to get things done for Massachusetts.

Trump has earned a second term by creating the best economy in history. The economy has benefited Blacks, Hispanics, Asians, women, and our youth. Trump has kept his promises by cracking down on criminal illegal aliens, reforming criminal justice laws, funding minority colleges and universities, reducing levels of poverty, reducing taxes for working-class people, making America energy independent, negotiating trade deals, and much, much more.

U.S. Senator Ed Markey (D-MA) has been in Congress since I was in my senior year at New Bedford High School. That was 44 years ago. Markey is allied with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Bernie Sanders and is for defunding our police and for ending fracking and the use of fossil fuels. Markey supports open borders, socialized medicine for all including illegal immigrants, and the Green New Deal. Markey stood by as Barack Obama and Joe Biden attempted to cripple the New Bedford fishing industry. President Trump reversed Obama-Biden policies and provided $16 million to modernize New Bedford's waterfront.

Republican Kevin O'Connor shares President Trump's vision and would help Trump to move his agenda through Congress. As America stands ready to stay the course for another four years, President Trump needs fighters in congress. That is why we need to send Kevin O'Connor to the U.S. Senate and Helen Brady to the U.S. House of Representatives.

Vote for the reelection of President Donald J. Trump and then send him Kevin O'Connor and Helen Brady to help him to get the job done for Massachusetts and America.
