Um anyway, so we've got another radical far-left candidate backed by um New York's Ma'am Donnie the socialist uncovered in a resurfaced social media clip showing her to suggest that America deserved the September 11, 2001 terror attacks. Her name is Abber Kawaz. K A W A Kawas. She's the Muslim daughter of the illegal aliens or of illegal aliens who is now the Democrat nominee for the New York State Senate District 12. Like Ma Donnie Kawas is a socialist. Um, the system of capitalism and racism and white supremacy and Islamophobia have all been used to colonize lands to take resources from other people. And so this is a long trajectory and we're just seeing the manifestations of that continuation with 9/11. she said in a 2017 episode of the Asian-American Writers Association podcast titled Islamophobia Beyond 911 uh apparently with her the host Abber Kawas. She then downplayed the attack. The idea that we have to apologize for a terror attack that a couple of people did and then there is no apology or reparations for genocides and for slavery is something I find reprehensible. She said the radical candidate addressed her comments November of last year during an interview downplaying them as out of context attacks from the political right calling them cherrypicked comments. It's got to be MAGA. MAGA is coming after me. I've always been outspoken about the wrongful scapegoating of Muslim Americans both before and after 9/11. And in this interview, I was speaking about the harmful notion that Muslims should have to apologize for an act of violence they have nothing to do with, Kawas told Fox News Digital on uh Thursday morning, yesterday. Our resounding victory this week shows that the people of Queens simply don't buy into this kind of desperate Islamophobic smear and want leaders in office who aren't afraid to call out bigotry, racism, and double standards. She goes on, but I'm not going to waste your time with that. Uh, President Trump meanwhile last night declaring on Tooth Social that the game is on after spending much of the week criticizing what he describes as a growing communist movement within the Democrat party. The Communists are finally making their move. I've been waiting and preparing for this for a long time. Trump wrote, "It's easy to be a communist. All you have to do is say, "I'll give you everything, but that means you're taking it away from others that have earned it." Over thousands of years, that ideology has not worked once, he continued. I saw a clip from uh Jim Carville, the Democrat um apologist who's now suggesting that the new Democrats, the socialist Democrats that get elected should not be seated with the Democrat coalitions with the uh whether it be in Congress or whether it be um anywhere, I guess. But um Democrat Senator um Elisa or Eliza Eliza I think it is Slatkin of Michigan said she believes the Democrat party is in need of new leadership arguing that the party never completely recovered after its losses in the 2024 election. During an appearance on Sirius XM's Straight Shooter on Wednesday, the senator told Stephen A. Smith. Every day there's a debate within the party about the path forward. That's why I believe we need significant new leadership. The old models are no longer working, and that includes the Democrat party, she said. Slot can explain that the new leaders are needed in both the House and Senate, adding that her party needs to center its focus more on a few key issues. Democrats were soundly defeated in 2024. I was in a swing state and I won that same year. To me, the lesson was simple. Democrats had too many priorities. They tried to make everyone happy and answer every question. When you prioritize everything, no one knows what you actually stand for. Donald Trump came in with one clear message. He said, "I'm going to make your life more affordable. Fedterman said Wednesday, the Democratic Party is increasingly embracing candidates who are anti-Israel, anti-American, and opposed to core institutions like immigration enforcement and prisons. I think it was Austria fell to the communist party, but we rebuilt them also. Now, how expensive was that? Now, if we did this to Iran, and you're absolutely correct, we'd be hurting the people, but not the government so much. The government will find some way to steal from the people as much as it can. So, you're absolutely correct. And Trump is doing the right thing. He's he's easily fighting against the Muslim savages in charge in Iran without trying to hurt the people of Persia. Yeah. And you want to be able to quickly get this thing over, get somebody new in power and then just start there and and everything's still pretty much standing and um if you destroy the place. Yeah. I mean, Germany had nothing. Every the the Russians stole as much as they could and what wasn't stolen we bombed to hell. the same thing in France. I mean, there were entire uh towns and cities we destroyed on D-Day. Well, think about this, too. I mean, if we go in there now and we start dropping bunker bombers and we destroy all the bridges and the power plants and and uh you know, everything else. Um the people are going to be mighty pissed off at us, too, because it's going to be overkill and they know overkill. Exactly. Yes. Yeah. All right. Um followup. I have a story in front of me from CBS News. It says Frank Land's deputy director for the operations of the National Park Service was informed on June 9th by US Park Police that vandalism had occurred to the pool, the reflecting pool to in to include a 300 foot gash and the tops of some of the fence posts, 70 of them were thrown in the pool. So now remember Barry, when when this director gives this information to Congress, he swears to it under pains and penalty or perjury. He can go to jail if he's creating falsehoods. So this is the truth, Barry. Well, not only that, there's been more damage that they found, too. There's like a human uh what is it? Uh 8647 has been painted with blood all over the uh um and other things tossed inside the pool. Yeah. The tops of fence posts, some 70 of them. 70 gashes made in the uh Yeah. And gashes made in the in the lining. I mean, that's expensive stuff. So, you know, these people think they're getting back at Trump somehow or another. They June 9th has this happened. Yeah. Almost two, two and a half, three weeks ago. So, they they think they're getting at back at Trump like they have something to get back at Trump for. But what they're getting back at is the American people and their own country. They're destroying the the reflecting pool at the Lincoln uh memorial and and I don't know how that gets even somehow with Trump. I it just does I don't make the you know that's like children do stuff like that. Little small children, you know. So I just don't get the media said it was mostly peaceful vandalism. My niece, who was a little more liberal than her uncle Donald, uh was was all up in arms over the Safe or Save Act regarding married women. So, what Uncle Donald did was go through all the damnable rules and regulations. And guess what, Barry? I found a US passport regulation that stated, quote, "Name change. If your name is changed after marriage, all you need to do is bring a marriage certificate in order to have the name changed. Now, this is for an existing passport. Well, Barry, by extension, if you can use this marriage certificate to change your name, you can use it to put a new name on a new passport with a quote marriage certificate. You know, when my wife had to get the uh the ID, the new ID, uh what do they call it? The real ID. Yeah. She um you know, she had she had to send to Vermont. We got married in Vermont, right? She had to send to Vermont. Called them up on the phone, said, "Hey, I need a copy of our marriage uh certificate." No problem. Um you know, just Yeah. Send Send us, I don't know, send us an envelope or whatever, and we'll send we'll mail it to you. Okay. Two days later, it was in the mail. Uh she needed something from Providence. I'm not sure what. And uh so sent a uh uh the same thing two day within within like 3 or 4 days she had the two documents that she needed. Uh within a week she had a real ID. She never had to leave the house. She didn't get, you know, have to get Siberian huskys to go through mountains and snow and and uh all that. She was lucky. I had to go through hell. I had to argue I had to argue with the the registry. They says, "Well, well well, Don, uh this isn't enough." And I says, "What the hell are you talking about? What about all the envelopes that have my name and address on it that was sent to me? Oh. Oh. Oh, okay. Yeah, that's right. I said, "Man, you people are great." Now, you got married in Vermont. Did you go to Moscow for your honeymoon? Uh, no. We went Where did we go? We went to Where did we go for our honeymoon? You didn't go with Bernie. Jesus. I don't No. No. I had lived in Vermont. I'd already seen enough of Bernie. Where did we go for a honeymoon? I'm going to now you got me in trouble cuz if my wife's listening right now, [laughter] you're not going to take my calls anymore. But I mean, we've traveled to so many beautiful places together and we're going to be celebrating our 35th anniversary in October. So, um, you know, uh, I don't we went I'm just thinking that we we we went to the vineyard and I'm not sure if that was for our honeymoon if that was what that liberal place. Oh my god. Yeah. It was a it was in Windsor, Vermont and it was in October and it was at the Juniper Hill Inn. and see my memory is now completely gone which is right on the side of a mountain and it was beautiful fall colors foliage we used candle light um and she came down the staircase the lovely bride came down the staircase uh on her father's arm and we got married right there in the uh in the in the library at the Juniper Hill in very small crowd of people only only hand small handful of people and we actually um had the reception was like two or 3 weeks later. And um it was in East Providence at the old Johnson in Wales, which I'm not even sure is still there. And it was a fabulous time. We had a great time. We all danced all night. It was just a great time. Great food and everything else. Um but I I believe that we spent a couple of nights in Vermont. We had to come back because we had work and um so we didn't take our vacation at that moment, but uh anyway, it's been 35 years and it's worked out okay, right? So no complaints. Um, like you know, you you had questioned that you were like, "How can someone root for the al algae?" And I uh and I I've mentioned this to you many times and I always go back to this because this is a perfect explan explanation of what's going on. Ready? Hard times create strong men. Strong men create good times. Good times create weak men. And then weak men create hard times. And that's where we're at right now. Like, you know, you got to be a special kind of stupid to uh to root for the country that raised you, that you were born in. You know what I mean? Even like, forget about the president. Like you're rooting for people who are like same thing with the people destroying the pool. Like you know, you got to be a special kind of stupid to go out of your way and potentially put your freedom in jeopardy just to kind of put the middle finger to someone like you're you're rooting against your country. Well, that's it. I mean, you know, that's what I don't get. Donald Trump is here. Donald Trump is gone, right? He was here for four years. He was gone for four years. He's back for 17 months, you know, and and what two years he's gone, you know, and and the reflecting pool is going to be beautiful, you know, the the great big beautiful ballroom is going to be beautiful and and Democrats and Republicans will be dancing and having dinner there for, you know, hopefully for decades to come. Um, you know, all of the wonderful stuff that's going on in this country, hopefully we're going to appreciate forever. and um to root against it because you don't like Donald Trump. First of all, your your irrational dislike for Donald Trump is that's a whole other subject. But because you feel that way, you want your country to fail, to not succeed. Um you want the you want the algae to grow. I mean, I I just don't I don't get it. I just don't understand that at all. Yeah. Like I I understand that you need therapy. You know what I mean? You weren't hugged enough as a child. I get it. But what happens after Trump goes away? Where is all that hatred going to go to? I I just don't understand it. Like it never mattered. These are the people that are going to have a direct impact on your life. not these people that are making these decisions that in four years or two years in this case are going to be thrown out through executive order again. It's the I got to tell you what, I was born, you know, the the the gentleman who called yesterday was giving me all kinds of crap about the baby boomers and everything else. This kid needs to get a education. Needs to live a little longer. I was born during the Eisenhower administration. All right. So, I've been around for a little while. I've been through a whole bunch of presidents. Some of them I liked, some of them I didn't like. Um, you know, Barack Obama told me, "If you like your doctor, you can keep your doctor." He lied to me. I had to get a new doctor. My whole, you know, the whole medical system collapsed and everything under him. Joe Biden, well, Joe Biden, right? You know, everything Joe Biden did over the last four years. I don't have to go through all that again. But you know what? I never hated Barack Obama. I never hated uh Joe Biden. I never hated Bill Clinton for having sex with a with an intern. And the in the way I didn't I never hated George W. Bush for for telling us about weapons of mass destruction and and trying and having so many of our, you know, young people maimed and killed and everything in a war that never should have been uh entered into. I didn't hate those people. I didn't like their policies and I didn't like them personally, but I never hated them. And I never wished um you know algae on Obama or algae on uh you know on Joe Biden or whatever. You know I just I don't get where that comes from. That's a new phenomenon in our country. The only other time I ever saw something like that was with Nixon but he brought it on himself. It's a lot of hate. A lot of hate in somebody. You know what I mean? You look around and we got people that are just complacent. But, you know, you you had them you had take Nick Nixon forever for example. I mentioned Nixon. Okay. Anyway, he'd get drunk at night and he'd stand in the in the in the White House in the in the residential quarters and yell at the portraits and stuff like that. And um you know, but I mean you between Watergate and between um you know, between Vietnam and everything else, a lot of reasons to dislike Nixon. Um and a lot of people made fun of Nixon. A lot of people, you know, were not big fans of Nixon. Nobody shot Nixon. You know what I mean? Nobody tried. There weren't four attempts on on Nixon's life. Um there was not this irrational hatred. You know, Trump has done nothing to bring on this hatred. And you know, he's he's no Watergate. There's no uh Russia, Russia, Russia was all a scandal that was made up by the press and by the Hillary Clinton people and Jim Jim Comey and all of this kind of stuff. All of this stuff, you know, the raid on Mara Lago, all made up stuff. And you know, there's nothing, no rational, you can dislike Trump. That's certainly you're right. This is America. I I you know, I respect anybody who doesn't like Trump. That's that's your business. That's your right. But this irrational deep hatred for this guy who's done nothing to deserve it. He he works for free, you know, and I just I don't know where that comes from and I don't know I don't know where that goes after the 2028 election. It's crazy. Like again, it's a whole bunch of crazy. Like you like you said, you want to label them as socialists, they're they're communists. The communists are taking over. It's craziness. It's craziness out there. You just got to again keep your eye on the real situation. Like, you know, surround yourself with good people, like focus on community, focus on the people around you because at the end of the day, that's who you have. That's who you rely on. The government of Mexico was facilitating people at its southern border from other countries like Venezuela and Honduras and El Salvador to come up through Mexico and they provided them with bus rides and they provided and they emptied their prisons. And Donald Trump said that the president of Mexico is sending us its criminals, sending us their rapists, and opening the insane asylums and just letting all of these people out and sending them to the border. And that's been proven true. Look at the look at the people that we found in this country that are committing crimes against our citizens. just like ask Lake and Riley's mother, you know, people like that. Um, big difference between saying that the government of Mexico is unleashing its criminal population on us by sending these people to the border and letting them go to the United States and let us worry about them. You know, um, [clears throat] I had to stop and call because the last caller reminds me of so many callers like him that they're worried about the emotional impact of something that somebody says, but they don't really care about what that person does. So, you know, you you know, Trump could insult a uh a Muslim Islamist terrorist that rapes children, but they're more worried about the that Trump as a president said a bad thing about a person that might offend other people, but they don't really care about the fact that the person was busted for raping a child. Yeah. And this is this is typical of Democrats now is it's it's about the feelings and the and and how how we talk to each other and and all that. they don't really care about the crimes uh and and they don't care about um you know the fact that some things have to change in the country. They don't they don't want that. You know they they they want to keep things the same. And you know the old adage you probably remember this it used to be I remember this in high school and college is like uh do what you want as long as it doesn't hurt you or others. Like that last gentleman sat there while I explained to him what really happened and then he says, "Can I talk now?" That says to me again as a parent, somebody who raised kids, nothing I said meant anything to him or even, you know, a responsible adult would have said, "Oh, gee, I will have to go back and look that up and see because maybe I've got it wrong." But you just can't get through. Well, you know, it's and it's the it's the terrorist or the the criminal that walks in their door and they look at him and say, "Well, I'm just like you. you weren't around when I was defending defending you. And then they get shot and they go, "Well, I guess that didn't work out." Yeah. Um that's what law and order is about. That's the basis for our country. And you know, I understand that the that the president definitely oversteps my personal thoughts on how he talks, but I kind of don't really care because, you know, the last, you know, three or four presidents have done next to nothing. Matter of fact, Obama actually uh started this whole thing with uh with uh the hope and change and then his next statement was I'm gonna fundamentally change America. Well, he has. He screwed it up. Yeah. Big time. And and and I'm not saying it from my personal perspective. I mean, I live in a a very mixed community now, which is fantastic. Way more mixed than I was in Massachusetts by long shot. And great people. And I'm I'm just speaking for all of these people because you know when we have freedom and and we have um um you know a country that uh you know is based on the values we have that's how we all move forward. And I I I think it's great that Muslims wanted to come to the country as an example. But they can't come and change the laws and they can't change the uh the the system we have. He'll sell you a bill of goods and everybody loves him. Oh, he's so handsome and oh, look how well spoken he is and and this that and the other thing. And I would rather have a guy that's going to sit down and tell me right off the cuff what you think. I don't want to have to guess what you think. I don't want to have to guess if you're trying to pull an over on me or trying to play the used car salesman. No offense to anybody in my audience, but um you know, I want to know where you're coming from and I I want your cards right on the table. And Trump does that and I appreciate that. I respect that. I think Trump's talking my language and I think that's why he connects with so many Americans. Some people are put off like Steve and that's certainly his opinion. Here we are. you know, as far as a other call and I generally don't like to talk about other callers, but um you've got to you know what I'm I'm like I'm my I'm I'm going to be 69 on my next birthday. I've been doing this for I'm going to be 50 years next year, right? Um I'm not here to impress anybody. I'm not here to impress the boss. I love my bosses. the 10 plus years that I've been here, they have never told me what to say. They've never told me not, you know, don't say this, don't say that. They put me in here, open the mic, and they let me go. And sometimes, I think they sit there and bite their nails a little bit while I'm on the air, but that's okay. They trust me, and um and I I trust and respect them because they let me have at it. Um I don't need to say things uh to try to boost ratings or whatever. Look, I'm at the end of my career. I'm not at the beginning of my career. Somebody once said that to me. I think it was George Rogers, the former city council, once said that to me, you know, well, you're not going to build your career on me. It's like, dude, I built my career long before I met you. So, my career is made and my career is coming to an end. I'm looking forward to hanging out my shingle or taking in my shingle, you know, within the next couple of years and relaxing. So, I don't live in fear that, you know, someday uh somebody's going to say, "Hey, you said the wrong thing. you're out of you're out of a job. Okay, fine. I'm already a senior. I'm already collecting social security. So, um you know, give me the stickers. I'll go hang at Walmart. So, I'm not going to play games with people, I guess, is the um is the point that I want to make. I don't care if you are the biggest Trump hater in the world. That's your business. I like Trump. You don't have to like Trump. But don't try to make me an apologist for Trump. I don't have to apologize for everything Trump does. I don't have to defend everything Trump does. We've already litigated this through two, three elections now, right? If you don't like Trump, fine. I don't care. I think you're pretty stupid if you don't. But that's just my opinion. Your opinion is you don't like Trump. That's your opinion. My opinion is if you don't like Trump, I think you're pretty stupid because he's doing more for this country than any president that I've experienced. And again, I've been around since Eisenhower. But don't try to play games in me. If you if you don't like Trump, if you don't like a particular policy, you know, I can I've been doing this long enough that I can always tell by the first word or two where a conversation is going to go. When somebody calls up and I pick up the phone and say, "So, boom, I know that one's going right off the rail." Or, "Let me ask you this," or, "Let I can tell immediately by the first couple of words where where the conversation is going to go and what the objective of the the caller is. Now, if you want to call me and you disagree with me, I would love to chat with you. I had a caller two days ago. Now, he and I never really hit it off too well. He was one of those guys like the, you know, the last couple of callers that we've had today that like to yell over you, don't want to have a conversation or whatever. And we had a problem with that. And I told him, I said, "Look, if you want to have a conversation, I'll have a conversation with you. Number one, you're going to treat me with respect. First of all, I'm a senior citizen, so you're going to you're going to respect my ass, right? And second of all, it's my show. I control the microphones and none of this First Amendment crap applies here. If I don't want to talk to you, I'm going to shut you off. Now, I talked to the gentleman the other day, and we had a great conversation. We didn't agree on much, but we had a great conversation. I understood more in that conversation what he was about than I had in I don't know how many years he and I have spoken together. And there are other callers that are like that. Call me up and say, "Hey, Barry, how you doing? How's the kids?" Um, I just wanted to say that, you know, I I heard your opinion on this. I disagree. I've got a different opinion on it. And here's why. We can have a great conversation. Have a great conversation. Maybe I might persuade you a little bit. Maybe you might persuade me a little bit. Maybe we'll leave both with our opinions intact. But at least we've had an opportunity to discuss things like adults. You come at me with a flamethrower, I'm I have no use for you. I don't need you. I really don't. So, there's that. And I don't want to hurt your your you know your your feelings. But that's the way it is. I don't need to talk to you. You know, I these people will call up, well, how come you always hang up by people that disagree with you? No, I do not. I do not hang up with people. You know something? My wife and I are politically complete opposites. We've been married 35 years, but we treat each other with respect when we talk about things. And I got a lot of close friends that are on different political planets than I'm on. That's okay. We talk to the point where, you know, okay, we I respect your opinion. you respect your my opinion, whatever, and and we just move on to something else. You want to call me and show respect for me in my house and for my listeners out there because you know what I hear from my listeners more than anything? They don't like that kind of attack call. They don't like it. It's they think it's lousy radio. They don't, you know, they don't they don't like it. But they do like discussions and you know because if there's a little old lady sitting over at Whalers's Cove or sitting somewhere else not sure what to think and they hear my point of view and then they hear the other guy saying well I think this and and so on and so forth. They like that because that that's why people listen to talk radio because we exchange ideas and we're able to learn a little bit and we're able to educate each other and to present our points of view and so on and so forth. But if somebody wants to call in, it just has a, you know, like the guy that called in yesterday. It was just about this time yesterday. Uh, you know, the the the world is all screwed up because of the baby boomers. Well, I'm a baby boomer. I take offense by that. I worked a lot of years. I've worked uh gez going on pretty close to 60 years now, as many of you have, paying a lot of taxes, building roads, uh, educating your kids, doing this, that, and the other thing. uh you know um baby boomers older than me fought the wars uh you know whether it be Vietnam like the gentleman 78 they called in a little while ago um you know maybe Korea my uncle buddy went to Korea one of the survivors of pork chop hill I have a lot of respect for the baby boomers baby boomers did a lot the ones this gentleman yesterday was 31 years old and you know he knows everything. You know how that goes, right? We're not the ones walking around cutting our penises off and telling kids you can you can be a girl if you want to be a girl. We're not the ones, you know, out there uh slicing up reflective pools and rooting for the algae and uh you know, all of this kind of crazy stuff that's part of our society today. Wasn't us. Don't blame us. If the world is screwed up right now, that's not our fault. We didn't do that. We handed off the we handed off the uh you know the the the game to you guys and you guys made this mess, not us. We're fighting to restore what we had. Respect, honor, love of country, civil exchange, civil discussion. So some kid's going to call me who's got like, you know, he's he's 31 now. He's probably what, 20 when 9/11 happened? I'm doing my math right. Maybe younger than that. I don't know. But learn something. Listen. Listen to the older folks that have been around for a while. You don't have to agree with me, but listen to us. Come in with an attitude. Baby boomers are MAGA. MAGA is a group of eight 80 million people. We don't hang out together at a uh at a club. There's no MAGA club. We're citizens from all over the country. Many of us baby boomers, a lot of young people in that are magnets. 80 million people that won an election because we have things that we we we see that need to be done to this country. So he's blaming baby boomers and he's blaming MAGA and then Trump for everything that's wrong with the country. What have you done to fix the country? What has your generation done?
