State and local Police in Wareham have arrested four men following a fatal stabbing Wednesday inside a local convenience store.

Police say they responded to a Cumberland Farms Store on Main Street, and found a 23-year-old man suffering from a stab wound. He was transported to Tobey Hospital in Wareham and died later in the day at Boston Medical Center. The victim has been identified as 23-year-old Dwayne Borges of Wareham.

Witnesses told police Borges was stabbed following a confrontation with other men inside the store. Four arrests were made a short time later.

All four suspects, Latroy Hairston, Jared Frye, Demetrius Goshen and Adrian Garcia, all live in Wareham.

Police said initially they would be charged with assault with  intent to murder, but that charge will likely upgraded with the Borges' death. Wareham Police and State Police Detectives continue to investigate.
