Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the annual New Bedford Connect event will be a little different in 2020.

"Our event this year is will be different, but our commitment is the same. We are inviting you to join us for our New Bedford Connect "Pop Up" events. Our mission to continue to rally service providers and volunteers to support these two "Pop Up" dates that will help families and individuals who are experiencing homelessness or are at risk of becoming homeless. The Homeless Service Providers Network, in collaboration with Rise Up for Homes, is organizing the event."

These are two free events that provide health screenings and winter weather items such as scarves and hats while supplies last. Those who attend can utilize the resources and services available to assist individuals and families.

The first New Bedford Connect Pop Up event will take place in the parking lot at PAACA on Tuesday, October 20 from 4 to 6:30. PAACA is located at 360 Coggeshall Street in New Bedford. Mobile Ministries Food Truck will be on-site with food for attendants.

The second New Bedford Connect Pop Up event will take place in the parking lot at Sister Rose House on Wednesday, October 21 from 11 am to 1 pm. Sister Rose House is located at 75 Division Street in New Bedford. The Soup Kitchen will be on-site with food for attendants.
