Two Charged In Davis Street Drug Bust

Two New Bedford men are facing drug trafficking charges following their arrest Thursday night.

Forty-nine year old Edwin Davis and 41 year old Richard Ribeiro were picked up last night, during a search of their Davis Street apartment by members of the Organized Crime and intelligence Bureau.

Following an investigation, police obtained a search warrent, and found 42 grams of heroin, 3 percocet tablets, 64 tramadol or pain medication tablets and nearly $3,400 in cash.

Detective Captain Steve Vicente says the drugs have a street value of approximately $5,000.
