The Fourth Annual Tour de Crème will be held Sunday, May 19, 2019.

On Sunday, May 19, 2019, the Mattapoisett Land Trust and the Friends of the Mattapoisett Bike Path will once again host the popular Tour de Crème, a fundraising event combining the SouthCoast’s fabulous cycling with a selection of its best ice cream shops along the route. Approximately 240 cyclists and 80 volunteers participated in the 2018 event.

I'm not much of a bike rider, but this does seem like a good time that showcases land conservation and rail-trails in Mattapoisett.

It’s also an opportunity to raise funds for projects that benefit everyone in the area. "Last year we fell slightly short of our $16,000 goal in total, raising a little over $14,000. All net proceeds from the 2018 Tour de Crème were split 50/50 between the Mattapoisett Land Trust and the Friends of the Mattapoisett Bike Path. The Mattapoisett Land Trust used their portion of the Tour de Crème proceeds to help maintain and expand hiking trails on their properties and the Friends of the Mattapoisett Bike Path used their portion to help develop a plan to create a section of bike path to connect Mattapoisett to the Marion bike path. You can still donate simply by clicking HERE.

Registration opens on Friday, March 15 and space is limited. Click HERE to register. Click HERE to volunteer.
