Massachusetts Ice Cream Shop Claps Back at Reviewer Upset by Bathing Suits
If there’s one thing I didn’t expect to see on my social media feed today, it was a Massachusetts ice cream shop absolutely melting a negative review with one perfectly-timed response.
Dairy Twist in Pembroke has been serving up frozen treats since 1995, but apparently there’s one summertime sight that was simply too much for one recent reviewer: people wearing bathing suits. Yes, you read that right, bathing suits. In the summer, at an outdoor walk-up ice cream stand.
Oh, the horror (insert eye roll emoji).

Massachusetts Ice Cream Shop Gets Called Out
The three-star review referred to Dairy Twist as “white trash central,” complained about kids standing in line in bathing suits and even took issue with the size of the ice cream.

Apparently, getting too many scoops is now something we’re upset about. Parking also made the complaint list, although the reviewer did admit the ice cream was “pretty good.” So hey, at least the frozen goods survived the criticism.
Dairy Twist Scoops Up the Perfect Comeback
Instead of letting the review ruin their day, Dairy Twist had a little fun with it. “How dare you guys wear bathing suits to an outdoor establishment in the summer!” the ice cream shop wrote. “We'll be scooping up humongous sizes per usual at the Trashy Twist all day on this beautiful Tuesday!”

Now that is how you serve a comeback. Complaining about getting too much ice cream feels a little like finding 20 bucks in your pocket and getting annoyed because your wallet is heavier. So if your summer plans involve bathing suits, oversized scoops and apparently living on the wild side, Dairy Twist in Pembroke sounds like the place to be. Just remember to dress appropriately. Perhaps a tuxedo or a ball gown, just to be safe.
