Led by Boston Red Sox top prospect Yoan Moncada, the World Team knocked off Team USA 11-3 in the All-Star Futures Game, Sunday in San Diego.

The organization's number one prospect carried his team on the night, going 2-5 with the go-ahead, 2-run home run in the eighth inning and a stolen base.

For his late inning heroics, Moncada was named the game's MVP.

The 21-year-old, who signed with the organization back in 2015, has put together solid numbers, over two levels, so far this season. After starting the 2016 campaign at High-A Salem, where he slashed .307/.427/.496 in 61 games, the young star was called up to the Double-A club in Portland.

In 16 games since the promotion, Moncada has only gotten better, slashing .328/.366/.657 with five homers for the Sea Dogs.

Boston's other representative for the game was Andrew Benintendi, another upstart prospect who burst on the scene after being drafted seventh overall by the club in 2015.

Benintendi, who suited up for Team USA, went 0-3 on the night.
